In the Times article of 23/12/2011 Katherine Murphy, chief executive of the Patients Association, said "Patient confidentiality is paramount. Health records are among the most personal and sensitive information kept about patients and they must be protected".
Many surveys have been conducted regarding who individuals trust to keep their data. The most trusted guardian chosen from a long list including government, banks, major stores etc is, unsurprisingly, 'me!'.
I stand by my article of 2009 - I want to keep a synchronised copy of my NHS Medical Record in my Personal Data Store which I can access and share 'with my consent, under my control, for my benefit'.
