Good overview of fotoLibra from Gwyn Headley
fotoLibra was set up to allow everybody to have a crack at selling photographs for publication. No exams, no interviews, no judging, no criticism, no minimum submissions. Just the power of the market.
It’s completely free, with a few restrictions. If you don’t want the restrictions, you can pay to remove them.
fotoLibra makes the contacts, negotiates the prices, handles all the backroom stuff (invoicing, paperwork, VAT etc) and pays 50% of net receipts.
Average picture sale value is £51; the photographer gets 50% of that. Biggest picture sale: £2,200. Photographer got £1,100.
We have 345,976 images online, 18,345 registered picture sellers in 162 countries and 5,293 registered picture buyers. We have an online bookshop (an Amazon affiliate) curated by James Lake, formerly of the PC Bookshop.
